Title Fail Detection of HV Machines Through Discharge Analysis – Focused on Transformers
Authors Bujalobokova, Magdalena; Trnka, Pavel
Abstract High operational reliability of the power transformers is one of the most important features. Fast failure detection is the main aim. The power transformers producer faces the customer’s pressure not only for failure detection and prediction. Recently is also requested a failure identification. Economical pressure requires reducing of the revisions budget. This is the reason why the system of diagnostics has to identify transformer failure. It helps to reduce the time needed for preparation and repair. Recent known detection methods can be divided to on-line and off-line method. Both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. The results are not always satisfactory. Paper deals with summarization of recently used partial discharges (PD) detection methods and their application in the power transformer diagnostics.
