Title Design and Modeling of a Web Portal on Private Cloud Using Open Source
Authors M, Sudha; Monica, M.
Abstract Abstract - Today Cloud Computing is the most buzzed word in IT Industry, Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. Cloud computing provides computation, software, data access, and storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services. We intend to build up a private cloud using the Eucalyptus tool-kit and provide IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service), thus we would be forming a virtualized network to host a cloud using the available resources to give service to clients in the private network. The IaaS will be provided by running instances over the cloud and PaaS would be available by hosting websites over the cloud. With the establishment of private cloud, we would help our university to efficiently use the already existing resources in solving computationally intensive scientific.
