Abstract Information and Communication Techniques ICT has rapidly become the most important pillar of modern societies. A lot of countries now regard the comprehension of ICT, skills and mastery of basic concepts as part of basic higher education in addition to reading, writing and arithmetic. Technological advances have improved the lives of individuals in myriad ways. Innovative products and services facilitate communication, empower consumers, and help students learn more effectively and easily, reduce the labor of performing household chores, and make us safer. The survey results of using IT for family in Iraq indicate clearly to the multiplicity women’s benefit of this technology in various fields. Whereof reflect raise of awareness level upon the women of using IT as one of the most important ways that could enable her to take a leading role in society. This paper discusses the public sphere in Iraq from the perspective of women´s uses of ICT. This agrees that the sociopolitical transformations unfolding in many countries in the Middle East and North Africa are not taking place in the absence of women´s contribution and participation. Drawing on examples from different countries, this paper demonstrate, how women are shaping, effecting, and redefining the public sphere by producing alternative discourses and images about womanhood, and political participation in their societies.
