Abstract | The first algorithm to solve the minimum cost tension problem(MCT problem) is the out-of-kilter method of Pla[17]. Hadjiat[10] proved that Pla´s method is not a polynomial algorithm. Recently, Ghiyasvand[7] presented a polynomial time algorithm to solve MCT problem. In this paper, we extend the idea of [7] to present a polynomial-time implementation of Pla´s method to solve the MCT problem. Our algorithm runs in $O(m^2 n log(nC))$-time, where $n, m, C$ denote the number of nodes, number of arcs, and maximum absolute value of an arc cost, respectively. |
