Title Enhancement of L-junction Plasmon Waveguides Properties Using Various Shapes of Au Nanoparticles Arrays at λ≈1550nm
Authors Ahmadivand, Arash
Abstract In this paper, we investigate L-junction Plasmon waveguides based on various shapes of Au nanoparticles. Employing Au nanospheres and nanorings which encompassed by SiO2 substrate, shows that how the shape and size of the nanoparticles have influence in energy transportation at optical C-band spectrum (λ≈1550nm). Trying to provide the best structure leads to select the array which demonstrates lower losses and higher transmission efficiency during energy transportation. Increasing in nanoparticle’s geometrical dimension components causes to have a structure with extra degree of tunability property. Finally we show that, nanorings shows better performance during transportation of energy in L shape Plasmon waveguides.
