Title Evaluating a Digital Proofing Device
Authors Datwyler, Markus; Widmer, Erwin; Simon, Klaus
Abstract In the graphic arts industry color accuracy is one of the central quality criteria, particularly in connection with proof printing. This study is concerned with an assessment of color accuracy of professional digital proofing systems in reference to the ISO standard 12647-2 (offset printing) and of the stability of both the proofing system and its proofs. For an AgfaJet Sherpa 43i, as an instance of a current high-quality equipment, the mean color deviation between a proof and the reference of DE1 less than 2 is demonstrated.
