Title On a Reducibility of the Kampé de Fériet Function
Authors Ali, Shoukat
Abstract In 1970, Shankar & Saran have obtained an interesting result for reducibility of Kampé de Fériet function using the well known classical Watson’s theorem on the sum of a 3F2 obtained earlier by Lavoie, Grondin & Rathie. The aim of this research note is to obtain one result contiguous to that of Shankar & Saran’s result. For obtaining our main result express Kampé de Fériet function as double series and using series identity after it employing contiguous classical Watson’s theorem obtained earlier by Lavoie et al. There are several special cases of our main findings but due to lack of space we are mentioning only one special case which is obtained earlier by Rathie & Choi.
