Title Design of a 6 Bit Phase shifter Using HEMT Switch with neural network
Authors Bemani, Mohsen; Fard, Azim; Suratgar, Amir abolfazl
Abstract In this paper, a 6 bit digital phase shifter (P.S) is designed. 6 bit phase shifter contains 6 digital bits: 180, 90, 45, 22.5, 5.625 degree that they are series. Each phase bit contains a reference circuit and a delay circuit. These digital bits produce 64 state of phase shift that the selection of these circuits is done by FET switches. At first a phase shifter at central 3 GHZ Frequency and then a 6 phase shifter at the range between 2 and 4 GHZ Frequency are designed. Neural network is used inputs are the number of phase bit and frequency and outputs are the element quantities of each bit. This network is learned by LEVENBERG-MARQUARDT Algorithm. After simulation in ADS software, the phase error is between +4 and -9 degree. Also the error of learned neural network for calculating the quantity of element in MSE is approximately 0.002.
