Abstract | the work is centred on CEO Duality and Financial Performance of Firms in Nigeria. The objective of the study is to find out the relationship between CEO Duality and the Financial Performance of Firm. We adopted the use of secondary data from the Nigerian Stock Exchange Fact book drawn from various industries during the period 2001 – 2010 and the regression analysis with its Best Linear Unbiased Estimate (BLUES) was employed to test our hypothesis. The findings of the study revealed that CEO Duality is harmful to the Financial Performance of a firm. The study proffered useful recommendations, which when implemented will help improve financial performance of firms in Nigeria. |
