Abstract Energy using products (EuPs) are of great concern, because of their proliferation in every-day activity and environmental impact through their life cycle. The aim of this paper is to present the legal requirements for EuPs and eco-design measures the manufacturing companies have to undertake in order to gain competitive advantage while implementing them at the production stage.
