Title Aspect-Oriented Attribute Grammars
Authors Mernik, M.; Rebernak, D.
Abstract Despite the efforts of several researchers modularization, reusability and extensibility remain a problem within the area of language specification. Attribute Grammars (AGs) present a well-known formal approach for defining programming languages. This paper presents a new approach to language specification which increases the level of attribute grammars modularity and reusability and decreases developers’ effort for specifying a new language. The paper introduces Aspect-Oriented Attribute Grammars (AOAGs) which extend the original notion of attribute grammars with features known from Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP).
