Title Knowledge Networks for Innovation: Motives and Benefits
Authors Kinduris, Vytenis; Jucevicius, Robertas
Abstract Networks seem to provide an answer how information and knowledge can be gathered and disseminated. However, there are more questions than answers when things come to knowledge networks. The character of knowledge that might be explicit as well as tacit asks for a deeper theoretical explanation in order to better understand the essence of knowledge networks. The aim of this article is to reveal the main benefits for companies, organizations and other institutions of the innovation system to be a part of knowledge networks. The main emphasis in the article is on discussing the theoretical framework for understanding the knowledge network as a tool for the development of innovation capacity as well as on revealing the motives and benefits from being a part of the network.http://dx.doi.org/10.5755/j01.ss.74.4.1036
