Abstract Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) describes a hepatic disorder with the typical characteristics of an alcoholic liver disease without alcohol consumption. It encompasses simple steatosis to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. NAFLD is the most common metabolic paediatric liver disease
