| Abstract | this paper aims to advocate the application of interactive multimedia-internet-based teaching system (IMITS) in college English teaching in Chinese colleges and universities. Based on a general analysis of the status quo of college English teaching in China nowadays, the theoretical base and construction principles of IMITS teaching are introduced, which is followed by a detailed elaboration on the actual utilization of IMITS in college English teaching and its advantages. At the end of this paper, some existing problems of IMITS teaching are exposed and the corresponding strategies are proposed to perfect the effects of IMITS in college English teaching. |
