Title Efficiency Enhancement of Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell by the Deposition of Undoped ZnO Thin Film
Authors Muhammed, Ghaida S.
Abstract ZnO thin film was prepared by spray pyrolysis decomposition of zinc acetate onto a glass substrate. The deposited film was characterized by high resolution XRD, AFM, and PL spectroscopic techniques to reveal its structural, morphological and optical properties. The ZnO/Si solar cell has been realized by depositing the ZnO on Si solar cell by spray pyrolysis technique. ZnO is created with submicron thickness (0.8μm) to provide an efficient anti-reflective layer and to get the advantage of potential band gap tuning, via light trapping. The best out put parameters obtained for solar cell; open circuit voltage Voc, short circuit current Isc; fill factor FF, and efficiency Eff% were calculated in this work.
